MunchMap Terms of Use

Last updated: January 2025

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the MunchMap mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are

The Service is operated by Stuart Cleary (United Kingdom) as an individual developer ("we", "us", "our").

Contact email: support@munchmap.app

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use MunchMap. If the laws in your country require you to be older to use the Service, you must meet that higher age requirement.

3) Your account

3.1 Account responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Account deletion

You can delete your account from within the app. Deletion is immediate (subject to reasonable technical processing time).

4) What MunchMap does

MunchMap allows you to save TikTok video and Instagram Reel links and view your saved food spots on a map and list so you can find them easily later.

We may use automated processing (including AI) to infer a likely place/location from link metadata. Inferred results can be incomplete or inaccurate.

5) Location services

If you grant permission, MunchMap uses your device's precise location to show your current position relative to your saved spots ("near me"). We do not guarantee that location-based features will be accurate or available at all times.

6) Your saved items and third-party content

6.1 Third-party links

You may submit links to third-party services (e.g., TikTok and Instagram). The Service may display metadata (such as title, description, or thumbnails) associated with those links.

MunchMap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram/Meta, Apple, or Google.

6.2 Rights and responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit and use any links and associated content/metadata you save through the Service and that your use complies with any applicable third-party terms.

7) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8) Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

9) Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will try to provide reasonable notice where practical, but this may not always be possible.

10) Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in-app or by other reasonable means. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
